Ping in 2011 Japan Golf Fair!

Today was the first day of 2011 Japan Golf fair.  As always, Tourspecgolfer (Chris), Tourspecgirl (Jacquelyn) and I showed before 10 am start to formulate our plan to tackle the worlds most fun golf show. Was already evident first thing this morning that we were in the store for a day crowded as it seemed most people usually showed up at the start of recording. Our hunch was right as this was one of the busiest days opening still making it difficult to capture images and video clips that we wanted, but we tried our best yet!

I'll be posting up pictures that I took while Chris is working on his awesome video. I will try and focus images brand refresh for brand and maybe even tomorrow for brands, that post already if I'm not happy with the pictures. We walked our usual route through the show that started with the West Wing. We expected to see Taylormade Japan in their normal positions as the first main stand, however, was now Ping Japan that occupied that position.

Japan had a Ping to both small-sized but a lot of hitting networks for club fitting and putter fitting. Equipment wise, all new global products were there, as i wedges S56, K15, G15 and Tour S. They are still promoting Anser forged as it was probably one of the best selling irons in 2010.

For the 2011 release before had limited putters Kartsten 1959, as well as the channels comply with "new" Ping Eye2 wedges XG on the side. They also showcased some all new wells just Japan that Griffin. I was hoping to see a replacement for the Rapture V2 Japan very popular, but there was none to be seen.

You can drop by Ping tomorrow to see if there was anything that we missed and talk with representatives of Ping on possible up coming releases. Average Ping time out today images!

YONEX GOLF driver EZONE 2011

Yonex E zone type 450 Driver

YONEX EZONE 2011
Yonex is releasing 3 new drivers this March that are about to debut at the fiera di Golf next week in Tokyo 2011. 450/Type 420/380 type are the three models.  Ryo Ishikawa has recently been spotted Tour using the type 380 which is their model against players that suites the professional athlete.  The technology behind the new drivers, Yonex is EZONE call and uses a carbon composite Crown owns Yonex.  Drivers of most other brands sweet spot function that do not reside directly in the Centre of the face.  You may have seen before when Tour driver problem have the dot indicating the position of CG, is usually not the center of the club face.

Another important aspect of development is its pear-shaped design.  Also features one of type 450 more lovely pear shaped heads than many other large headed driver on the market, usually pear-shaped design is reserved for the professional model. All three models have this same philosophy which was adopted to inspire confidence and meet the players.

Yonex 2011 DriversOne of the biggest selling points is that these drivers are manufactured by Yonex ENDO Niigata factory in Japan.  There is also an Office of Niigata Yonex production.  Each process from manufacturing head & paint, carbon composite Crown construction, production of shaft and Assembly is all done in Japan.  ENDO produces narrower tolerance of any factory of golf world and kudo Yonex to understand that.

Royal collection at the Japan Golf fair 2011

Royal Collection has made some really great Club recently and 2011 looks no different.  Don't have a big booth at Japan Golf fair as many of the big brands are always, however, this is reflective of their products. RC has always believed in quality over quantity and it shows in their products by this company more small but focused.

Their all new look DB forged wedges to be the winners. After along the lines of the original forged DB which had a cult following among hardcore golfer and athlete, the new DB forged is forged with a premium grinding very versatile, just like the original. M style grind offers versatility in every lie and the tooth rear cavities port CG head higher. There are two standard models, satin black, while the raw unplated is a prototype model with limited sales.

Their ultra popular TRC club who was a hybrid within a hybrid has been divided in two models. The TRC 2009 has been designed as a cross between a fairway wood and a utility. Provides the distance of a FW but the versatility of a UT. The new TRC, which stands for Cavity Twin rail now offers a dedicated FW and a UT TRC. TRC both clubs feature deep faces and a versatile design makes the better player, but enough to forgive the golfer improvement.

New features now UT a all new wells Tour UT announcement and lengths shorter than the previous TRC. From the other side the new FW TRC offers two new Club D/S. D/S is short for guide spoon. The club D/S are available in and 11.5 * 13 * Loft and are made to be the maximum distance or even wood spoons or as alternatives to a driver. Their lengths of size 225cc, 43.75 " and face deep make them ideal for IP with control max but a penetrating trajectory.  I can't wait to try them and hopefully we will have a test video of them tomorrow.

Fourteen DT-111 Driver revealed!

14 DT111 Driver
We had the scoop before the official announcement of fourteen.  The New Driver of DT-111 Golf fourteen!  Specific information about the exact driver technology and generation have not been confirmed, so I'm going to go to the skinny branches to give my best guestimate based on what fourteen does best with what they have produced in the past.  I would assume that fourteen years is implementing the popular VL titanium face Cup with a material body You 15-3-3-3 + KS100 parts to produce a titanium head 4 piece composite structure.  In the past, most drivers of fourteen were released in 9 * 10.5 * and my best guess that they will continue this tradition.

Compared with the ST-110 seems exaggerated scoop has been reduced in size and the back edge of the Crown declined more marked than the previous design.  Looks like the same theory in general except DT111 new approach seems much more straight forward if the goal is to lower the center of gravity.  Expect a COOL over 4100 and and a nice low center of gravity.  Specific volume not yet on the club head so that I can only estimate it should be in the range 435cc.  Yet another company that may be opting out of 460cc head design full-sized.

Next week we will have some initial impressions test at the Golf Fair in Tokyo and I will be updating this post to reflect any differences against my speculation.
