Whenever I'm looking for a course to play, always me looking for 10 best courses lists. This list is my top 10 public golf courses in New York City. I tried to stick to courses that are approximately 2 hours drive from New York City. Enjoy and don't forget to comment on and discuss in the forum.

Winter Golf Tip

Two weeks ago that I was in Fort Myers, Florida, where I played four towers on some great golf playgrounds.  Prior to the trip, I knew I had to make some preparation in order to not make a fool of myself on the golf course.  So I Went to a heated driving range everyday for two weeks prior to travel.  Working exclusively with my irons and woods, I guess I got enough preparation for rounds of golf in Florida.  But the two things I worked on permanent finish between me and my normal notation beach.

The first day in Florida, we went to an incredible designed Jack Nicklaus courses.  I went through my normal pre-round and then reinforced routine on the tee.  It was a 4 on 450-500 yards.  I hit my driver side left of the fairway and followed with a shot approach which gave me 30-35 feet from the hole.  I felt good and I didn't think that I would have no difficulty to by.  But after a three devastating, I finish with a bogey, and this will continue to be the theme of the day.  Throughout the day I hit the ball well off the coast of the tee box and my iron play was solid, but once I was on the green or having to hit bullets, I looked terrible.

The next two rounds were not different.  My scores were in the upper part of the 1980s.  I worked finally just exclusively on the chipping and putting before my last round and only hit a couple balls on the beach.  The result was great as I could get my score less than 80 years, because I have putté and chip more effectively.  If while working on your game at the shoulder, you need to keep in mind that the game runs and are the most important part of this game.  Be sure to highlight your short game and place in your preparation and does not make the same mistake I did.

Hudson Hills - think short and specific, not long and aggressive!

Westchester residents who do not want to pay large aperture and contributions that come with private courses and can transform their views on six public courts belonging to the County.  You won't have a cloakroom, storage, club restaurant gastronomic or personal a fully private club, but during the utilities of Westchester you experience golf in its purist form.  The jewel of the courts of Westchester County is Hudson Hills.  It is far more perfectly maintained course six and it also offers breath taking landscapes in the Hudson Valley.

Hudson Hills is a difficult course with a total of yardage from 7,000 to a 71.  Although total yards for the course can indicate that your driver into play frequently, but instead the long hitters will be generally be it in the bag.  Hudson Hills, I played for six years, and my only question with the course is rarely touched my driver because of all the risks and close to landing areas.  Often I kick off the coast with my three wood or hybrid 17 degree ovens and even fives.  Number of holes featured tee shots including a ball that moves too long will be in serious trouble, kind of precision and the remote control are paramount.  Green Hudson Hills' are usually kept at an average speed and contain many multi levels, for once you reach the green you're generally.

Beautifully manicured fairways and Greens come with more expensive than other prizes county courts.  Fresh green weekend for a cardholder not leave at $115 and $85 Monday thru Thursday.  For those who have a Westchester County Park pass weekend charge is $ 85 and Monday thru Thursday is $ 55.  If you have not already, exit at Hudson Hills and play because it offers a challenge for both high and low Jockey.

New 2011 Titleist ProV1x

Last week Titleist sent me a new 2011 Pro V1x sleeve s play and give feedback.  My general impression is that they were great!  There is a little different with the pits on the ball especially around the central line is used to align with wraps.  The new ball had a great feeling and it did not get torn as past models when you hit a full shot with a corner or railway runs.  This was everything I had been doing so frustrated whenever I have reached a 100 yards shot with one of my corners and go up to green my ball had a massive threshold on the side.  But this new model tramples almost underfoot as much after these shots.  Sensation at the tee box offshore and distance results, I had were identical to that of models passed the Pro V1x.  The biggest difference that I felt with the new ball was the great feel that future broadband my irons.  On the surface to place the ball felt as great as all Pro V1x past models.  New balls have nothing but positive and you should definitely get a sleeve of them when they come out in February 2011!

Review of Moor Maple Golf course

Maple Moor is a municipal course quite solid. Located near the intersection of 287 and Hutchinson Parkway, this course is fairly easy access to Manhattan.  My complaint to a large number of public courses around Westchester is that they all seem cramped.  Many of these courses have a lot of bizarre sides and short holes due to the sale of land.  The best Maple Moor thing to go because it lacks circum to these types of changes. The course is probably fairly short and has extended not itself with the evolution of the 460 cc driver. However, it still has much to offer. There are a number of strong holes where a driver off the tee is logical.  It is also set back in the Woods. A good nice change number equipped with Westchester course sandwiched between highways.

Greens-They keep the Green research and deployment pretty well to Maple Moor. Not a ton of break on them but quite true roll.

Page layout - layout quite fair and nice for a municipal course.

Location - central This is a very convenient location from anywhere in Westchester.

Sand - trapsSand traps are brutal. Many have been left rotting a those with sand in them are not close enough. You'll often club bounce on the sand instead of slipping under the ball.

No autonomy- There is no autonomy and closest to the course is good 20 minutes by car. At least the first hole allows an iron off the tee.

Play slow - pace of play is very slow. Prepare for a long round.

2011 Titleist ProV1 and released ProV1x

New Titleist ProV1 and ProV1x golf balls have been released and are now available.  For more information checkout site Titleist to display new additions to the ball.  The main difference I saw in the new ball is exactly the same difference when I got a sleeve test as Titleist sent me logs, these differences and can found in this section under "Equipment Review", I noticed.

Big g course the Grossinger review

2 hours of the North West of NYC, a beautiful Tillinghaust and Joe finger golf course lies among the ruins of an once prosperous station in the Catskills. For those of you not familiar with Tillinghaust, it is one of the architects large classes of all time. His work includes Bethpage Black, winged foot and Baltusrol. Records are missing, but it seems designed nine-hole Tilli and Joe Finger comes in later. The course of Big G to of the Grossinger is all that's left of a famous station hosted Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead. Closed in 1987, the Grossinger was made famous for being the inspiration for the movie Dirty Dancing.

My first reaction when I arrived to reconsider this course was to be poorly maintained given the appearance of the old station. But in fact are in great condition. Nice alleys and beautiful green moderate speed.

In terms of difficulty, this course will challenge all aspects of your game. 7000 Yards from the back tees is quite certainly long. There are two ways to avoid a very long shot in green from many sides, forcing you to shape the ball. Holes par 5 also try your course management by all being accessible in 2 shots but with difficult approaches. Even with all that, the most difficult aspect of course have to be green. They are very undulating and allowing certain investments really nasty PIN. The speed must remain moderate just to keep the ball immediately drag green.

The signature hole # 13 has become my public hole preferred in driving distance to NYC. It starts on a tee box elevate and requires a drive to a narrow strip of fairway with water on trees left and the right. With a good reader you'll always have an extremely difficult long iron to a Green Island set in a beautiful Lake in remote.

Classic Tillighuast and Joe finger courses-Courses with it a track and long history is difficult to find.Plenty of water-Beautiful lakes, including a Green Island.Greens – They are in great condition.Travel - it is far from the city. There are a bunch of new golf clubs that have recently been published.  Series Titleist 910, TaylorMade R9 Super Tri driver, Ping kinas series, Callaway Diablo Edge series, Nike VR Pro Combo irons and many others.  Make sure you know exactly what the person you want to buy the club for annoyed because clubs can get quite expensive.

Golf balls are a great gift for a golfer.  You can choose from Titleist, Nike, Srixon, Callaway and Bridgestone.  When buying golf balls, sure to know the level of golfer you purchase, because there are many types of golf there balls.  For example, you wanted to get someone who has a disability 25 a box of Titleist Pro V1 you rather probably would like to buy a box of Titleist NXT.

Golfers always pleased to receive clothing more that they can focus on the route.  Golf shirts, pants, shorts, belts and hats can make for a good gift.  Brands such as Nike and Adidas are sold to special offers on stores key golf online.

FootJoy, Nike, Addidas and Callaway all make excellent golf shoes.

It is a good idea for avid sports fans.

They can get very expensive and me there for someone who is always travel or play new courses frequently

This gift should not be a be… a good player of golf is usually fussy on shafts and grips.

Educational material is in my opinion, as someone get shampoo or make-up for a gift.  It is somewhat low blow… but nevertheless if you get a gift for someone who is learning the game or is just evil is not a bad idea.

Golf carts dominated today age, but it is always nice to have the option to walk without throwing your clubs on your back.

New Titleist 910 series expected February 2011

Titleist has a new set of 910 drivers, fairway metals and hybrid across the horizon to be available in February 2011.  910 Clubs have many new features compared to previous 909 the Titleist models.  The 910 wood features a new detachable wells has the "Tower Hosel SureFit," which allows players to set the loft and lie about their club.  New clubs include 910 series are as default

910 D 2

The head has a volume of 460cc.  Available lofts are 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5.

910 D 3

The head has a volume of 445cc.  Available lofts are 8.5, 9.5 and 10.5.

910F

It's a fairway wood high performance with available Lofts 13.5, 15, 17 and 19.

910Fd

The 910Fd is alternative fairways Titleist wood lofts available 13.5 and 15.

910 H

Hybrid 910 has available 17, 19, 21 and 24 lofts.

The new Titleist 910 series already used pro tours around the world and received excellent results.  910 Drivers, fairway metals and hybrid caught already 7 victories from around the world.  Performance improvement and the slick new 910 Titleist series appearance should be is a success in the world of golf.

Golf Club of Crystal Springs review

We played the Wild Turkey in September.  They had just aerated Greens, but you could say it is a great course with a fun layout.  The complex has 7 courts at all, including some very rough tracks and links at least one course.  It is a bit of a drive of the city, but is worth and not too crowded.
